Fundraiser on Fort Myers Beach today for Ok. tornado victims
FORT MYERS BEACH, Fla.- You can head out to Fort Myers Beach today for a fundraiser to benefit victims of the Oklahoma tornadoes in May.
A volunteer group including the pastor of Beach Baptist Church located on Fort Myers Beach, started a fundraising campaign to help the people of Moore, Oklahoma. They're calling it Operation Oklahoma Rescue.?
It is their mission to bring together the local communities of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, and Fort Myers Beach, for this relief effort.
Donations can be made at the Beach Baptist Church on FMB from 8am-4pm daily. For questions please contact Dennis Mensinger, Donation Site Manager at 239-565-5572.
Representatives will be at "Chuck's Last Stop" today with activities all day long to raise money and supplies for people in Oklahoma.
There will be a BBQ and entertainment all day, raffles and auctions.
